Makamithi was born out of a vision to revolutionize agriculture in the region. Our founder, inspired by the dedication and resilience of local farmers, saw the potential to improve livelihoods through reliable access to high-quality agricultural inputs. This vision set the foundation for what would become a cornerstone in the agricultural supply chain of Ukambani.
Today, Makamithi Enterprises Ltd. operates a sophisticated distribution network that ensures timely and efficient delivery of agricultural inputs. With a fleet of over 10 trucks, we navigate the challenging terrains of Ukambani to bring essential products closer to the farmers. Our logistics prowess enables us to serve a wide network of wholesalers, small stockists, and farmers, making sure that every seed, fertilizer, and tool reaches its destination in optimal condition.

Gideon Mangu Director/Founder
A University of Nairobi graduate, he had a 20 year+ career in the Banking sector before leaving to set up Makamithi.
In recent years he has taken a step back from the day to day management of the business as he edges into retirement.
He is a keen golfer and farmer.
Jenifer Mangu – Director/Founder
A qualified accountant from Strathmore University.
She’s an active church leader, the National Secretary of AIC Women’s Prayer Centre and Secretary of Child Evangelism Fellowship- Kenya.
In her spare time she loves playing golf and spending time on her farm.
